Melbourne Zoo

There are 3 zoos in Melbourne:

  1. Melbourne Zoo which is near the city.
  2. Healesville Sactuary which is enroute to the Yarra Valley.
  3. Werribee Open Range Zoo which is in a suburb called Weribee.

Since the Melbourne Zoo is just a 30-minute walk from our place, we decided to pay our first visit to it on this sunny day.

Royal Park - It's a good place for kite flying and dog walking.

He has a very nice hairstyle! I just cant stop laughing at him. haha!

The pelican is about triple size of a normal duck. A BIG BIRD! I was a bit scared frankly.

The elephant was trying to grab the apple from the water surface.

Giraffes

Do you notice that the giraffe was trying to kiss the zebra?

Bongos

Meerket - It made me think of Timon in Lion King. Hakuna Matata!!!

We also saw some Mandrills over there. Their faces and areas around anus are very colourful! Red, blue, purple and even pink! They too reminded me the wise mandrill Rafiki in Lion King! Hey, seriously I’m gonna watch Lion King when I got back from zoo! Haha!

The lion roared loudly and laid down to take another nap. Ah! The lazy big cat!

Is this a polar bear or a brown bear? I'm so confused!

The zookeeper was feeding the little penguins.

We managed to catch the last show of the day - the clever seal.

Thank God for the good weather. It was a very good day at the zoo.
